DNA Project
The ACMS, in 2004, under the auspices of University College London (UCL), completed a DNA study involving MacLeod volunteers. This Study investigated possible surname DNA linkages and a search for Viking DNA linkages, matched against recorded MacLeod history. Today, this Group Name Project is being continued. There are also other projects underway in which Cadet families or other interested MacLeods can take part.
For further information about this Genetics study see FAQs or contact ACMS.
If you are interested in the Clan MacLeod Surname Project contact My Family Tree DNA and search for the MacLeod surname in the lists. Sept families may also participate. Fees for testing apply.
